Woman arrested and accused of arson in Fort Myers

A woman has been arrested and accused of arson after starting a fire, according to the Fort Myers Police Department.

Police arrested Samantha Williams at around 3:45 p.m. on Monday after a fire was reported to the FMPD and the Fort Myers Police Department.

Police arrived along Solomon Blvd in a green area behind the bus stop at the Edison Mall and next to the self-storage facility Life Storage in Fort Myers.

Officers on the scene said no one was hurt, and the fire was quickly put out.

Williams was arrested and charged with first-degree arson and drug possession.
