2 accused of street racing, reaching speeds of 113 mph

The Florida Highway Patrol has arrested two people for allegedly street racing on the eastbound portion of State Road 82 in Lee County.

According to FHP, Daniel Morales Roman, 24, and Michael Francis Omara, 46, from Lehigh Acres, were arrested early Monday for reaching speeds close to 113 mph.

Both men were arrested for street racing and issued a citation for traveling 50+ over the speed limit, resulting in a $1,000 fine.

Omara’s Harley Davidson Motorcycle and Roman’s Nissan Altima were both impounded.
