Scattered storms for your Friday afternoon and evening

The Weather Authority is tracking a slightly warmer-than-average Friday with scattered storms that will pop up throughout the evening.

The Weather Authority Meteorologist Juliana Mejia said, “We’re tracking a few showers in the afternoon that may develop into storms in the evening. The heat will also come into play as temperatures will reach the low 90s.”

Friday

Scattered showers and storms will pop up mainly in the late afternoon and linger as late as 8-9 p.m.

Highs are slightly warmer this afternoon compared to yesterday, with low 90s across all of Southwest Florida. 

Saturday 

Another mild, dry start with lows in the upper 70s across Southwest Florida.

Highs climb into the low 90s and scattered showers and storms return for the afternoon and evening hours.

Sunday 

Morning low temperatures continue in the mid-to-upper 70s and highs hold steady in the low 90s.

Easterly flow continues and keeps the timing of rain and storms in the afternoon and evening for Sunday.
