The Cape Coral Police Department responded to a call for an owl with a broken wing.

The owl was located in a gas station parking lot on Saturday.

Officer Amanda Tobler approached the injured owl and dropped it off at a local wildlife rehabilitation facility.

This isn’t the first time Tobler helped an animal while on duty.

Back in 2019, Tobler pulled over a driver. During the stop, Tobler noticed the dog was nervous and barking. Tobler handed a doggie biscuit and a written warning to the driver.

Tobler is a dog owner herself and keeps treats in her car, just in case she interacts with any dogs on the job.
