Man accused of selling meth near school in Cape Coral

The Cape Coral Police Department has arrested a man who stands accused of selling meth in the vicinity of a school zone.

Police arrested Walter Stephen Barrick, 47, on Friday, following a two-month investigation conducted, which included two prior sales of controlled substance charges within 1,000 feet of a school.

Police secured a search warrant for Barrick’s home located on Pelican Boulevard, where, along with a SWAT team, they arrested him.

Barrick has been charged with the sale of a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a school and possession of meth.
