SWFL schools affected due to Hurricane Helene

As Hurricane Helene approaches, schools across Southwest Florida are responding.

Florida Southwestern State College will be remote on Friday.

Florida Gulf Coast University has canceled all classes on Friday.

Rasmussen University canceled classes on Thursday. The university plans to reopen on Friday, but conditions are pending.

Keiser University canceled classes for its Fort Myers and Naples campuses Thursday. Additional announcements will be made as necessary.

Bishop Verot Catholic High School, St. Francis Xavier Catholic School and St. Andrew Catholic School, the Department of Education of the Diocese of Venice announced that Catholic Schools in Lee County will be closed on Friday.

Babcock Neighborhood School announced closures for Thursday and Friday out of safety for students and teachers.

According to the school’s Facebook post, all activities were canceled on Thursday.

Classes will resume on Friday unless notified otherwise.
