Homeowners are cleaning up their homes on Fort Myers Beach after Hurricane Helene lashed the Florida west coast. On Friday, the day after the storm, WINK News anchor Claire Galt spoke with Alan, a man on Fort Myers Beach, who has to rebuild after Helene left his home damaged. Alan’s home is covered in sludge, and his home camera shows water and mud left by the hurricane up to two feet high. He found mud covered in his garage and two or three feet of sand inside his pool. Alan said watching the damage through his home camera made him feel sick.
