Miracle Moment: Nurses dress up NICU babies for Halloween

It’s time for Miracle Moment, and boy do we have a Halloween treat.

Meet Evie, the sweetest little pumpkin in the patch.

Born at 27 weeks, she has a lot of growing to do before she can trick-or-treat, but the nurses in the NICU at Golisano Children’s Hospital helped her into something festive for her first Halloween.

Project Sweet Pea donated soft felt costumes that can be laid over babies in the neonatal intensive care unit without getting in the way of their medical equipment.

Evie’s pumpkin to match her parents is a picture-perfect memory and our miracle moment.

The NICU hosted a party earlier this week to allow families to enjoy some Halloween fun and pick out one of those special handmade costumes.
