The deadline for FEMA’s Operation Blue Roof is rapidly approaching for Charlotte County residents affected by Hurricane Milton.

Homeowners have until Nov. 14 to apply temporary blue plastic sheeting to help reduce any further damage until permanent repairs can be made.

The free program entails the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to come to your home and assist in placing the tarp on the roof for free.

Currently, over 5,900 tarps have been installed on damaged roofs through its program.
