SOUTH FORT MYERS Former Uber driver found guilty of raping passenger A former Uber driver has been found guilty of raping his passenger.
The Punta Gorda Police Department responded to a traffic crash that temporarily closed the northbound lanes of U.S. 41 at Olympia and Marion avenues. It happened around 6 p.m., Saturday. All northbound traffic was redirected via Olympia Avenue to access Interstate 75 and Marion Avenue to connect to southbound U.S. 41. It remains unclear if any injuries occurred due to the crash. The traffic impact has since cleared, with law enforcement clearing the scene. The crash remains under investigation.
