The crash occurred around 9 p.m. on New Market Road near Escambia Street in Immokalee.

Troopers said a man was attempting to cross the westbound lanes of New Market Road when he was struck by a Ford van traveling west.

After the initial collision, a second vehicle, driven by a 70-year-old man heading east on New Market Rd, also hit the pedestrian.
