Crime Stoppers increases cash reward for man missing since 2020

Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers has announced an increased cash reward regarding the case of a missing person from North Fort Myers.

Crime Stoppers increased the reward from $3,000 to $5,000 in the search for Porter Taylor Albert, a 78-year-old man who was initially reported missing five years ago and remains missing to this day in 2020.

According to Crime Stoppers, Albert was last seen on video surveillance purchasing items from a Big Lots store at 13970 North Cleveland Ave. at around 6:45 p.m. on Jan. 15, 2020.

Albert’s family filed a missing persons report for him on Jan. 21, 2020.

According to the Fort Myers Police Department, Albert’s disappearance may be deemed suspicious, considering the circumstances.
