1 injured in Fort Myers auto shop fire

According to the Fort Myers Fire Department, one person is injured after two vehicles and a dumpster caught fire in an auto shop on Saturday afternoon.

FMFD said a vehicle at Robert’s Tires caught on fire, causing another vehicle to catch fire which caused the dumpster to catch fire.

Authorities said the owner of the tire shop sustained minor injuries to his hands as he tried to extinguish the fire.

FMFD said they responded to the scene and attacked the fire.

There is currently a road blockage on Veronica Shoemaker Boulevard.
