LEE COUNTY, Fla.- Allen Park Elementary School will host Salvation Army Red Kettles for the fifth consecutive year and collect donations to support local families this holiday season. Students in Kindergarten through fifth grade have worked to plan, organize, promote, and run the week-long event.

Three kettles will be located at entrance points to the campus during arrival, with classes lining walkways ringing the traditional Salvation Army bells from 8:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. Students and staff are encouraged to donate extra change any day by dropping it in the kettle! All monies benefit The Salvation Army of Lee and Hendry Counties 2014 Red Kettle Campaign!

Allen Park was the first Lee County School to partner with The Salvation Army in 2010 and since then has donated more than $3700.00 to the organization, with a record-breaking total last year of $1,204.69 in just five days!

This year Allen Park Elementary will again take the lead, adding on virtual kettle to the fundraising efforts for the first time. Tax-free donations can be made online at: www.onlineredkettle.org/AllenParkElementary/.

As we enter a season where students can get wrapped up with all they may receive, Allen Park is proud to support the efforts of our students to give back!
