COLLIER COUNTY, Fla.- East Naples Firefighters tell WINK News the driver of an SUV escaped without injuries after crashing into a canal on North Road.
The crash happened around 8:30 p.m. Friday.
The driver says he was following another vehicle when he ended up in the canal bed.
The canal is dry right now, but firefighters say if the crash had happened in the summertime, it would have been full of water.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
