PUNTA GORDA, Fla.- Two men are under arrest after police found almost three pounds of marijuana inside a house.

Around 7 a.m. Thursday, detectives served a search warrant at 602 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. Inside the house, they found 20-year-old Douglas Mark Stroman, Jr., and 21-year-old Christopher a. Landry.

During the search of the residence, detectives found plastic baggies with a total of more than 150 grams of marijuana and $2,500 in cash in Stroman’s bedroom. They also found $1,235 in Stroman’s pants pocket.

Police say a book bag that contained 14 glass jars with a total of more than 400 grams of marijuana was found in the house. There were also found numerous smoking devices that had marijuana residue.

A total of 1,331 grams of marijuana, which equates to about 2.93 pounds, was eventually located throughout the house.  The marijuana tested positive for the presence of THC.  A total of $5,105 was also located and seized under the Florida Contraband Act.

Detectives say Stroman sold varying amounts of marijuana to undercover operatives on five occasions in 2014 and have charges from each of those incidents.

As the result of the search warrant and those other five cases, Stroman was charged with multiple counts of possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Landry was charged with possession of less than 20 grams of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia.
