FORT MYERS, Fla.- An early morning fire destroyed a Fort Myers mobile home and left at least one man with no where to live.

The Tice Fire Department tells WINK News they got the call around 3:20 Thursday morning. When they arrived, the mobile home in the 4000 block of Glenwood Avenue was up in flames.

The fire chief says one man was inside at the time but made it out safely. He told firefighters he woke up to the smell of smoke and felt the heat of the flames. The fire department said it did not find a working smoke detector in the home.

The cause of the fire is under investigation at this time.
