JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) – A street sweeper thought he was picking up a bag of trash but found bombs, grenades, mortars and M-18s inside instead outside a busy Jacksonville shopping center.

Jacksonville Sheriff’s officials, along with a bomb squad robot and K-9 dogs arrived early Saturday morning. Authorities said bullets were also found on the ground next to the bag of military grade contents.

The Florida Times-Union reports roughly 15 stores and restaurants in the River City Marketplace were blocked while the bomb squad sifted through the contents.

About four hours later, the authorities rendered the contents safe and removed for proper disposal.
