CLERMONT, Fla. (AP) – The Florida Highway Patrol says a 92-year-old man was involved in a crash that killed three utility workers from Georgia.

The crash happened Thursday afternoon in Clermont, which is west of Orlando. The Orlando Sentinel (http://bit.ly/1y5gPOu ) reports Ira Caldwell pulled in front of a car driven by 20-year-old Alexandra Schultz. Her car veered off the road and struck the utility workers in a roadside ditch.

The Service Electric Co. workers had been in the area a few days. Killed were 35-year-old Jeremy Bradshaw of Albany, Georgia; 34-year-old Dewey Summerlin of Franklin, Georgia; and 40-year-old Jeffrey Estes of Ringgold, Georgia.

Sgt. Kim Montes says the crew took necessary precautions to ensure they were visible.

Schultz was taken to a hospital. Caldwell wasn’t injured. The crash remains under investigation.
