From 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. visitors will have the chance to explore the grounds of the conservancy and get up close and personal with nature. From live reptile shows, to touch tank demos, even a live turtle feeding it’s all part of the fun.
Michelle Rebilas with the Conservancy of Southwest Florida, says events like this work to help better educate the public and preserve nature.
“We really think it’s important for people to be aware of our beautiful environment here in Southwest Florida and how we can live together with our environment protecting and respecting our environment,” said Rebilas.
Visitors can even take part in electric boat rides or a kayak trip down the Gordon River. As a special bonus for the Earth Day celebration, the price of admission is reduced to $10 for adults, $5 for children and members are free.
