CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. – Some of the biggest names is country are hitting the main stage at Countrylife Music Festival. The festival is one of the largest to come to Southwest Florida. Eighteen big country icons and some fresh faces will perform in Punta Gorda over the next three days. One of those fresh faces is Craig Wayne Boyd, seventh season winner of ‘The Voice’. “Well being the first year in very excited to be apart of this,” says Boyd, “bringing something like this to south Florida.. this is awesome.” Boyd is currently in the middle of recording a brand new album and performed some of those fresh singles Friday. About 10,000 people gathered on the lawn to soak up every minute of each performance. Around 400 fans are expected to camp out at Florida tracks and trails throughout the entire weekend. This is a concert Charlotte County has never seen before. Event organizers wanted to make this affordable for anyone to come. Tickets are as low as $49 for a single day pass. They’ll be available all weekend.
