General Motors plans to improve factories

DETROIT, Mich. – General Motors plans to spend more than $5 billion to improve U.S. factories during the next 3 years.

The Detroit automaker says the investment will create about 650 new jobs. The company announced almost $8 million are designated for their three Michigan plants. Also, the money will go towards facility and equipment upgrades across the country.

GM says they will announce where the remainder of the billions of dollars are going in the upcoming months.
