FORT MYERS BEACH, Fla.- Firefighters investigating Sunday’s deadly duplex fire are asking for help.

They want anyone who took pictures or video of the fire to give them a call.

Investigators pulled a woman’s body from the rubble, and two other people were hurt.

The flames were so intense at the home on Estero Boulevard, they couldn’t be missed by anyone who passed by.

The fire department is asking for those onlookers who took pictures or video to help them solve the mystery of what caused the fire.

Eyewitnesses were able to capture the images of the fire and sounds of the explosions. Most of what is left is now unrecognizable, leaving investigators with not much to work with.

Captain Ron Martin says videos from onlookers could help solve the mystery.

“It may be out there. Everybody has a cell phone so that can be invaluable in a fire of this magnitude, of this scope,” said Martin.

Martin says if you have video or a credible tip on how this fire may have started, send them directly to his email address: rmartin@fmbfire.org.
