
LEHIGH ACRES, Fla.- FHP says a 19-year-old man ran across SR 82 in Lehigh Acres around 5 a.m. Friday morning and was hit by a car. He died at the scene.
Troopers blocked the road for hours while they investigated. SR 82 was closed from Haviland Avenue to Daniels Parkway.
FHP says the driver was not at fault and will not face charges. Troopers have not released the victim’s identity until they notify his family.
