Just in time for Father’s Day, John Feagans from SS Hookers joined us live in the studio to show us how to make the perfect New York strip steak.
NEW YORK STRIP STEAK WITH LEMON PEPPER BOURBON SAUCE.
2each – Well Trimmed Strip Streaks “Save fat”
4oz Bourbon
4oz Cabernet
4oz Beef Stock
2oz Cracked Black Pepper Corns
1each diced shallot
2oz Lemon Pepper (preferably one low in sodium)
1oz Flour
Cast Iron Skillet
Heat cast Iron skillet on high heat, and reduce to med high once hot. Press steaks into cracked black pepper corns and sear to desired temperature. Remove from heat and render trimmed fat from steaks, add shallots, lemon pepper, and flour. After mixer is well combined add all remaining liquids (being careful to watch for flame up from alcohol) and reduce till thickened. Serve steak on mashed potatoes or with roasted potatoes and vegetables cover with Pepper sauce and enjoy.
