Hundreds gather to remember Chelsey Green

LEE COUNTY, Fla.- Family and friends of Chelsey Green are still mourning her death.

The 25-year-old went missing last week. Her body was found in a car pulled from the Caloosahatchee River in Fort Myers Shores on Monday.

Hundreds gathered at a memorial for Green Tuesday night. Friends say Green touched many lives and her life ended too soon.

Family members say they’re just trying to cope.

“Been rough on everybody, but I think they are trying to get through it together and keep their heads up,” said Josh Green, the victim’s brother. “There were a lot of people who knew our family, and were looking out for us and we appreciate all their help and support.”

Family members say Green’s body will undergo an autopsy to determine an exact cause of death.
