NAPLES, Fla. – A big honor is in store for the Gulf Coast High School Marching Band, as they’ve been invited to march in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. This is the first time a band from Collier County has been selected to attend the Thanksgiving Day tradition and will be the only high school band in the parade representing the State of Florida. In all just 12 bands from across the country will march in the parade and only six are high schools. To help send the more than 320 students to New York City, they’re hosting “Shark-A-Palooza” Saturday, September 12 from 11 a.m.- 9 p.m. at the Cornerstone United Methodist Church located at 8200 Immokalee Road. Tickets are just $10 until 5 p.m. and $15 after, kids under 5 are free. Gulf Coast alum Casey Weston will perform as the music headliner along with The Dazzling DelRays, Yazgars Farm and more.
