MGN Online FORT MYERS, Fla.- Lee Memorial Hospital on Cleveland Avenue has been cleared following a bomb threat. Police first responded to the hospital on Cleveland Avenue around 10 a.m. Sunday. FMPD officers and Lee Memorial security staff searched the hospital for about an hour and cleared the hospital just after 11 a.m. A Lee Memorial Health Systems spokesperson released the following statement to WINK News: “As a precaution, the call prompted an investigation by law enforcement that included a thorough check of each hospital which revealed no suspicious activity. Each hospital remains open and there has been no disruption to patient care.
