FORT MYERS, Fla.- Judge Frank Mann Jr. is resigning two years before his term ends as a Lee County judge. The 53-year old is the grandson of the late community icon and arts leader Barbara B. Mann. He’s also the son of long-time public official Frank Mann Sr., now a Lee County commissioner. Mann Jr. won a hard-fought election in 2010 to become a judge. Sources say the Judicial Qualifications Commission is investigating one or more complaints against Mann Jr. The director of the commission says now that Mann Jr. has resigned, if there was an investigation, it likely will be dropped, and the information would not be revealed. Mann Jr. has been locked in a divorce battle for the past 18 months. Recent filings indicate the proceedings have cost Mann Jr.more than $130,000 in legal fees and court costs. WINK News was unable to reach Mann Jr. for a comment.
