
MARCO ISLAND, Fla.- A 79-year-old man was found dead on the 200 block of Lamplighter Drive, confirmed Marco Island police.
Police say they received a call just before 7 a.m. Monday morning about the man found lying on the sidewalk with a gunshot wound. A firearm was found at the scene.
Officials say this is an isolated event and the public is not in danger.
