LEHIGH ACRES, Fla.- Two men caught on surveillance video breaking into a Lehigh Acres home last week, are also suspected in a second break-in on Monday, authorities said.

The first burglary took place on January 7 on Brazos Street E., after the homeowner left for work. Surveillance cameras inside the home captured images of the two suspects climbing through a living room window, which authorities say they smashed open with a brick.

The suspects left with a Smith & Wesson 40 caliber pistol, a Smith & Wesson 38 caliber revolver, as well as an iPad and other items, officials said.

On Monday, the same two men are believed to have burglarized a home on Butler Avenue S. A witness told detectives he saw a black, four door Nissan pass by the victim’s house a few times.

A short time later, the same car backed into the home’s driveway, with two men heading to the side of the house. Authorities say the witness was suspicious of the men, so he honked his horn which prompted the suspects to run back to the Nissan, driven by an a third suspect. The homeowner reported that a side window had been broken with a rock, but the suspects did not enter the home, officials said.
