OCALA, Fla. (AP) – A hunter in north Florida found a human skull while walking along a trail in the woods.

The Marion County Sheriff’s Office reports 23-year-old Clayton Permenter was walking in a swampy area of the Cross Florida Greenway on Sunday when he saw the half-buried skull.

The Ocala Star-Banner (http://bit.ly/21TBR0r ) reports Permenter also found shoes and a shirt about 10-feet from the remains. He says he also found another bone nearby.

The medical examiner is working to identify the remains.

It is the second time in the past week that human remains were reported being found.

On Friday, the sheriff’s office found a male body buried in a grave in the Ocala National Forest. Authorities say they found the body after receiving a tip.
