House expels New York Rep. George Santos. It’s just the sixth expulsion in the chamber’s historyTracking low rain chances for this weekend
MGN Online MIAMI (AP) – A jury has awarded $28 million to the parents of a dead newborn discovered in a Miami dumpster, finding that a funeral home was negligent in its handling of the boy’s body. The Miami Herald (http://hrld.us/1Tzs4YN ) reports that David Manzano was born Sept. 1, 2014 and died shortly after birth. The parents signed a contract with Carey Royal Ram’n Funeral Home to have their son cremated, but four days later the infant’s body was discovered in a nearby dumpster. Attorney Neal Hirschfeld says the boy’s parents, Raul Manzano and Catheryne Lucero, didn’t know their son hadn’t been cremated. Jarren Hood, the son of the funeral home’s owner, told officers he was taking the boy’s body to the crematorium but someone broke into his van and stole the box containing the boy.
