No more left turns soon at ‘dangerous’ Cape Coral intersection

Published: Updated:

CAPE CORAL, Fla. – Drivers will not be able to make left turns at the intersection of Pine Island and Northeast 24 Avenue within the next three to six months.

Authorities said they are not yet installing stoplight, which was approved in January just days after three people were hospitalized from a wreck with a dump truck. But drivers will not be able to cross traffic to turn left in the next coming months.

Cape Coral police have responded to more than 30 crashes in the past two years at the intersection.  Officers said that the intersection is dangerous.
