MGN CAPE CORAL, Fla. – One man is dead after a two-car crash at Del Prado Boulevard and Northeast 6th Street on Sunday after 9:30 a.m., police said. Harry Carroll Wilson, 93, died at a hospital of injuries from the wreck, which closed a part of Del Prado for a few hours, Cape Coral police said. Another driver, Carl Olor Reijer, 29, is accused of running a red light then striking Wilson’s car, according to police. Reijer was taken to the hospital with minor injuries to his head, police said. An investigation into the wreck is underway and police said alcohol was not a factor. This is Cape Coral’s fourth fatal accident in 2016.
