BONITA SPRINGS, Fla.- The Southwest Florida Performing Arts Center, a new theater and dining hot spot, is preparing for its grand opening.

The $7 million project, located on Bonita Beach Road just off of Interstate 75, is three years in the making.

“We’re getting ready to start cooking and announce all of our amazing show schedules,” said CEO Brien Spina, “and performances are being booked as we speak.”

The 2,700-square-foot facility will feature a 400-seat theater and a restaurant. It will host a mix of theater and comedy performances, as well as corporate events and weddings. The center will also house a nonprofit organization that offers children classes and camps for the arts.

Spina says the center will also focus on the culinary arts.

“It will be a Mediterranean, Italian-themed, modern upscale restaurant and our celebrity chef is Michael Psilakas from The Food Network,” Spina added.

The center is expected to open on June 24.
