Brooke Sweat makes US Olympic team in Sand Volleyball

Brooke Sweat and her sand volleyball teammate Lauren Fendrick secured enough points with a win today in Germany to secure the second and final Sand Volleyball team slot for Team USA. Sweat graduated from Canterbury High School and then was the first recruit in FGCU volleyball history. The two-time AVP Defensive Player of the Year will be making her Olympics debut.

Sweat and Fendrick have the 15th most points in the World Olympic Rankings. American’s Kerri Walsh and April Ross will represent the United States as the top team from the country. Walsh and Ross have the third most Olympic points.
