Alleged thief cuts hole in fence, robs Lee County business

FORT MYERS, Fla. – A water and wastewater management company is missing expensive power tools after a man allegedly cut a hole in the business’ fence and broke into seven company cars, according to Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers.

A Severn Trent Services employee said he locked the gates around the property when he finished his shift the night of Aug. 18, Crime Stoppers said. When he returned the next morning, the employee discovered a large hole cut into the fence and noticed the tools were missing.

Video surveillance shows a man breaking into several vehicles around 1 a.m. on Aug. 19.
