The Fort Myers Police Department says it recovered a loaded AK-47 and .38-caliber pistol from a blue Toyota outside a club early Saturday morning.

FORT MYERS, Fla. — Two men were arrested after police found a loaded AK-47 at about 1:30 a.m. Saturday morning in the parking lot of a club.

Fort Myers resident Jevontae Williams, 19, and 18-year-old Keeron Jones of Lehigh Acres are in custody on $101,500 bond each. The Fort Myers Police Department said the men were loitering outside Club Vegas Lounge, 2158 Colonial Blvd. No. 1, by a blue Toyota where the AK-47 and a .38-caliber pistol were found.

Officers on scene said they saw Williams open the trunk and take out the rifle, then stand next to the Toyota with the rifle by his side. Jones took the pistol out of his waistband and put it on the backseat of the car, according to the officers.

Williams faces charges of carrying a concealed weapon and carrying a weapon openly. Jones faces a concealed weapons charge and a charge of providing a false name to law enforcement.
