Island Hopper Songwriter Fest starts Friday on Captiva

CAPTIVA, Fla. — Dozens of artists will bring music to Southwest Florida this weekend and next as part of the Third Annual Island Hopper Songwriter Fest.

The free event runs Friday through Sunday on Captiva, moves to downtown Fort Myers for midweek performances Monday through Thursday and heads to Fort Myers Beach from Sept. 30 through Oct. 2.

Festival attendees are encouraged to use Adventures in Paradise trolley and S Car Go for transportation this weekend. The trolley will operate from 3 p.m. through 1 a.m., and S Car Go operates from 4:30 p.m. through 6 p.m. Friday through Sunday.Both are free.

The trolley will continuously run from ‘Tween Waters Inn Resort to Chadwick Square. S Car Go will stop at three locations: ‘Tween Waters Inn Resort at Crow’s Nest, South Seas Island Resort, and Andy Rosse Lane.

The festival is presented by the Lee County Visitor & Convention Bureau in partnership with iHeartMedia, Cat Country 107.1 and Broadcast Music Inc.
