LAKELAND, Fla. (AP) – A 76-year-old woman has died after a driver apparently lost control of his pickup truck and slammed through a bedroom and dining room of her central Florida home before stopping in the kitchen.

Polk County Sheriff’s Grady Judd told news outlets that Janice Folds died instantly Thursday morning.

The sheriff says the truck “exploded” into the home at around 40 mph.

Judd says 24-year-old Ryan Tallent of Plant City faces a DUI manslaughter charge. He was being booked into the Polk County Jail on Thursday.

Judd says Folds and her husband, Rev. Wyatt Folds, were married for 55 years.
