Police: Driver on heroin crashes car by Cape hospital

CAPE CORAL, Fla. — A heroin-addled driver crashed into three parking signs in the lot at the Cape Coral Hospital emergency room Tuesday, police said.

Keith Edward Paulick, 36, had injected heroin prior to the crash and had more of the drug, plus prescription drugs and drug paraphernalia, in his car, where another man was passed out, according to the Cape Coral Police Department. Paulick also briefly lost consciousness, police said.

Paulick’s passenger sustained minor injuries, according to police. Paulick was arrested and is in custody facing multiple drug and DUI charges. No bond has been set.
