FORT MYERS, Fla.- Lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer death among men and women. Each year more people die from lung cancer than from colon, breast and prostate cancers combined. Most cases of lung cancer are caused by years of smoking. Unfortunately, because of a lack of initial symptoms, 84% of lung cancer is discovered in its late stages. Dr. Adam Manko, a pulmonologist with Lee Physician Group, stopped by the studio to talk about lung cancer screenings that are saving lives.
If you meet the criteria, talk to your doctor about low-dose CT screening for lung cancer or visit
