New travel-related case of Zika surfaces in Collier County

NAPLES, Fla. — Another travel-related case of the Zika virus has been reported in Collier County, the Florida Department of Health said.

Collier County has 22 travel-related cases of Zika and the state has a total of 1,222 cases.

Governor Rick Scott announced Friday that the department has cleared the Little River area in Miami of local Zika transmission. The department has not detected any cases of local transmission of the Zika virus in 45 days in this area.
