FORT MYERS, Fla. – A $5 million Lehigh Acres street resurfacing project spanning 60 miles on 300 streets received approval Tuesday from the Lee County Commission.
And more money for similar projects could be on the way.
The county usually allocates just $1 million annually for street maintenance in Lehigh Acres, but the commission is thinking about raising the yearly allotment to $5 million, Commissioner Frank Mann said.
