PUNTA GORDA, Fla. Human remains were discovered Wednesday near Riverside and Morningstar drives, the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office said. A railroad worker clearing brush found a skull and a couple of other body parts, Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Skip Conroy said. The site is just east of Interstate 75 and just south of the Peace River. It’s unclear how long the remains have been there. The sheriff’s office is canvassing the area to see if other remains are there. No further information is immediately available.
