Body found following Port Charlotte domestic disburbance

PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla. One person was found dead Thursday morning after Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a domestic disturbance.

Deputies were called to a home on the 3400 block of Westlund Terrace at about 11:30 a.m., the sheriff’s office said. A second person at the residence was being questioned by investigators as of Thursday afternoon.

A man, a woman and three kids lived inside of the home. The adults were often heard yelling at each other, some nearby residents said.

“The death investigation is suspicious in nature, however there is no danger or concern to area residents,” the sheriff’s office said in a statement.

The identities of those involved were not immediately released.
