CAPE CORAL, Fla. Two people were arrested Saturday after a night of partying ended with a machete and no clothes, the Cape Coral Police Department said Monday.

Officers responded at around 10:20 p.m. to the 4300 block of SW First Avenue after neighbors complained of a naked man destroying mailboxes with a machete, police said.

The man, identified as Yudier Duenas-Sosa, 35, of Gleason Parkway, also threatened a homeowner, police said.

Duenas-Sosa’s cousin, Irene Orozco, 52, of NE 16th Terrace, is accused of charging at officers when officers arrested Sosa.

Orozco and Duenas-Sosa were “extremely intoxicated,” police said. Yudier-Sosa was taken to Cape Coral Hospital, then the Lee County Jail.

Duenas-Sosa faces charges of aggravated assault and criminal mischief, and Orozco faces charges of resisting arrest, police said.

Charges are pending a further investigation, police said.
