Trash, recycling pickup to resume Friday in Collier

Published:

NORTH NAPLES, Fla. Trash and recycling pickup will resume Friday in parts of Collier County, county officials said in a press release.

The resumption covers unincorporated Collier County, the city of Marco Island, and the city of Everglades City.

Residents are advised to put trash and recycling bins by the curb on their regularly scheduled day.

Excess trash may be placed in heavy-duty plastic bags next to the trash cart. Excess recycling may be placed in clear plastic bags next to the recycling cart.

All Hurricane Irma-related yard waste should be placed curbside separate from the trash and recycling bins. Avoid blocking the road, driveways, sidewalks, mailboxes and access to fire hydrants.

The Collier County Landfill, the Immokalee Transfer Station and the North Collier and Marco Island recycling drop-off centers will open beginning Friday. Trash is not accepted at the recycling drop-off centers.
