
FORT MYERS, Fla. City Council approved a $40,000 settlement Monday in a $5 million wrongful death lawsuit stemming from the Zombicon shootings.
The family of Expavious Tyrell Taylor, the lone person killed in the October 2015 shootings that injured five others, filed the suit in state court against the city, alleging negligence.
The city approved payouts of $7,499 each last year in settlements with two Zombicon victims who were wounded.
